The Blues' second game of the day was against a big Leckhampton A side. The eventual score did not reflect the dominance of the
Leckhampton team.
Early tackles from Joe A were able to keep Leckhampton at bay, but unfortunately one challenge was not to the liking of the
referee who award a free kick on the edge of the Blues area. The free kick was curled goal wards and then punched away by
the outstretched arm of Finn in the Blues goal for a corner. From the corner the ball was scrambled across the Blues line for
what turned out to be the only goal of the game. It was a messy goal to concede but Leckhampton were not complaining.
(Will shows he doesn't need wings against Leckhampton Rovers 'A'.)
The rest of the half saw a good midfield battle between the two teams and Joe A and Henry perform strongly in defence. Mention
should also go to Finn who made two saves to prevent Leckhampton taking a further lead before half time.
The second half was very much like the first half with both teams cancelling each other out. Again the defence performed well,
this time with Charlotte partnering Joe A. Again Finn was called on to make two saves, one of which was a superb palm away of the
ball that was destined for the top corner. The midfields again cancelled themselves out and the game ended in a 1 - 0 win to
Leckhampton. Then game was the probably the most uneventful of the season, but this was possibly due to the closeness of the teams.
